July Fishing Report Emerald Isle Swansboro
The July inshore fishing has been on fire!! The Redfish bite is amazing and the Flounder are hungry as well!!
The Redfish are spread out through the marshes, creeks and river of Emerald Isle and Swansboro. You can find them on oyster bars, marsh flats or tight to the marsh grass. The Redfish are eating just about anything you put in front of their face. Live mullet on a Carolina Rig, Gulp on a jig, Top water plugs and anything else you can think of are working right now.
The Flounder can be found on the Marsh Flats using Mullet on Carolina Rigs or by casting jigs with Gulp baits all around the boat. You can find the flatties in the feeder creeks and inlet channels drifting a mullet on a Carolina rig as well.
The Black Drum and Sheeps Head bite is still steady on the bridges and dock pilings in the area. You can find these fish at all tides using shrimp or fiddler crabs on Carolina rigs with small hooks.
