Fishing is Hot
The inshore fishing in the Emerald Isle and Swansboro area has been great this summer!!
The Redfish (Red Drum) are plentiful and happy in the marshes all up and down the Intra-coastal water way from Emerald Isle to Camp Lejeune. There are some schooled up and plenty of scattered fish out there. They are eating artificial and live baits right now.
The Sheepshead and Black Drum bite has been steady on the oyster rocks, docks and other structure in the area. They are falling for live shrimp and fiddler crabs fished on Carolina Rigs.
The Flounder are being caught on artificial and live baits throughout the marshes, creeks and rivers as well.
The Eco Tours have been a great success this year as well, with plenty of Clams, Crabs, Sharks Teeth, Sand Dollars and Shells to be found on the sand bars and shell islands in the Swansboro and Emerald Isle area.
